Giving Back to Our Southside Indianapolis Community

Serving Our Neighbors
Beyond the Job Site

Plumbing is how we make a living, but serving this community is something deeper than a business. We set aside time and resources every month to help people in the Indianapolis area who are struggling — whether that means a hot meal or a working faucet. Here’s what we’re doing, and how you can be part of it.

Why This Matters to Us

Larry Parkhurst founded this company on a simple conviction: plumbing is a responsibility, not just a trade. Protecting the health of our community is part of the job. But serving people goes beyond pipes and water heaters.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, Larry believes that what you do with your hands and your time should reflect something bigger than yourself. Romans 12:11 says, “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

That verse isn’t just on a wall somewhere — it’s the reason these programs exist. We’re not sharing this to impress anyone. We’re sharing it because we believe more people and businesses can do the same, and we’d love the company.

40 Meals, Every Month

Every month, the Parkhurst family prepares 40 homemade meals and delivers them from camp to camp across Indianapolis. This isn’t a once-a-year event or a holiday photo opportunity. It happens 12 months a year, rain or shine.

Each visit is personal. We sit with people, share a meal, listen, and offer encouragement. For Larry, this is one of the most important things the family does — showing up for people who are often overlooked and reminding them they’re not forgotten.

Plumbing Help for Those Who Need It Most

We know that not everyone can afford a plumber when something breaks. That’s why we offer no-cost and low-cost plumbing services to single mothers and widows in our community. A working toilet, a faucet that doesn’t leak, hot water that actually works — these aren’t luxuries. They’re basics that everyone deserves.

If you know a single mother or widow in the Southside Indianapolis area who needs plumbing help but can’t afford it, call us at (317) 517-9348. We’ll do what we can.

We also dedicate a portion of our proceeds to support local outreach efforts beyond our own programs. When you hire us for a job, part of that goes back into this community

Join us

We don’t do this alone, and we’d rather not. If you’re a business owner, a church group, a family, or just someone who wants to help, there are ways to get involved with what we’re doing.

You can volunteer to help prepare and deliver meals. You can donate supplies. You can refer us to someone in your neighborhood who needs plumbing help but can’t afford it. Or you can simply spread the word — every bit of awareness makes a difference.

Rooted in the Trade Community

We’re proud members of the Indiana Plumbing-Heating-Cooling.

Contractors Association (PHCC). PHCC connects local contractors who are committed to doing quality work and supporting the communities they serve. Being part of this network keeps us connected to other professionals who share the same values.

INDIANAPOLIS WATER: WHAT'S ACTUALLY IN IT?

Indianapolis tap water runs 12 to 25 grains per gallon — anything above 7 is considered hard, according to Citizens Energy Group. That mineral load is why water heaters, fixtures, and appliances wear out early across the Southside.
